A. Reverse Drury (Not 2-Way)
-
Used only for major suits when responder is a passed hand
and has limit raise values (10+ to 12 support points) and 3 or more trumps
(no Bergen raises here).
-
Responder bids 2C over opener’s 1H or 1S to
determine whether partner has a full opener or opened light in 3rd or 4th
seat.
-
Off if RHO makes any bid.
Note: If responder has no
support but instead has a long minor suit, the bid is 3 of the minor suit (a jump) over 1H or 1S.
A1. Opener's Rebids Over Responder's 2C
Opener’s rebids Over
Responder’s 2C:
 | 2D indicates a full opener
with no particular features or values he cares to show.
 | 2 of the same major denies a full opener.
 | 2H after opening 1S shows a 5/4
shape and not a full opener, wants to play at 2H or 2S, responder
passes or corrects
 | 2NT shows14+ HCP, offers choice of
2NT, 3NT, 3H(3S) or 4H(4S)
Splinters:
 | 3S after opening 1H
 | 4H after opening 1S
 | 4C or 4D
 | 3C says opener intends to play in 4
of the major, but shows great club suit just in case 6C may be there.
Reverses and jump-shifts = are
normal bids.
A2. Responder's Rebids
If partner denies a full opener:
Pass his rebid of the major.
If partner indicates a full opener:
Two of opener’s major shows
supporting hand with 11 points maximum (invitational).
Three of opener’s major shows
supporting hand with good trumps and 12 points (game forcing).
2NT = balanced hand and invites to
3NT or 4 of the major
Any other bid guarantees support
for opener’s major, is natural showing values in that suit, and
invites opener to game in the major.

With 4 trumps, responder bids 2D over opener’s 1H or 1S to
determine whether partner has a full opener or opened light in 3rd or 4th
